About Ms. Celina

Celina Gomes

Ms. Celina has a love for children of all ages and has worked for decades with infants to high school aged young people. She originally started BBCC in 2015 in the East Bay, and is happy to now offer care in the home she grew up in back on the SF side of the bridge.

She has completed the Mandated Reporter Training, Health and Safety Certification, and is CPR and First Aid Certified. Ms. Celina is a Certified Sexualities Educator through EDSE, and supports parents so they can have shame-free and inclusive conversations with their children about bodies, relationships, and growing up. She completed a year long embodiment mentorship for doulas and caregivers with Siobhan Diores, and recently facilitated anti-racist teaching and parenting courses with the non-profit, Peace Out Loud.

All of these experiences and education opportunities come together to help Ms. Celina create a shame-free, inclusive, and supportive environment for children to be curious and creative, kind and connected.

Ms. Celina is a mother of a 6th and 8th grader. She is Bay Area raised and rooted, loves urban walks, Giants baseball, giving directions to strangers, singing her words, and taking Geography quizzes.

She grew up in the house Buddy Bridge calls home, and feels so grateful she can care for buddies in the same place she first learned to love and celebrate what makes us different and the same. Ms. Celina is Maltese, Cape Verdean, and Filipino; she likes sharing her cultures and learning about others from people. She loves having family all over the world, and is very tied to her local community. Ms. Celina is so happy to live with her mom and kids, and next door to her Nanna. Four generations of joy and love all in one spot!
